But what will I wear?

I used to say that all that really mattered when it came to your outfit for your boudoir session, was that you choose something that you felt comfortable in. And now, while I do feel that is important - my honest answer is that it doesn't matter.

When I look back at all the beautiful photos I've taken, the outfit is completely secondary to the woman. A gallery of knockout images has so little to do with the outfit on the body. The overwhelming confidence and strength emerging from the woman and leaping from the photograph, you truly don't even realize what she has on. You just see her. You will just see you.

And I will be the first to recommend doing some of the session fully nude. A woman's body is a masterpiece and the bodyscape view has become one of my favorite parts of this job. Emphasis on each curve, wave and individual structure is what brings the uniqueness to each session. There's so much beauty in it. I promise it is worth documenting, even if just for yourself.

That being said, part of a boudoir session can be the fun and excitement of wearing an outfit or lingerie set. Perhaps there's one you have wanted to try in the bedroom or always had a desire to simply feel confident in. In which case, have absolute fun with it! My prep guide and consultation walk you through selecting the right outfit for you and the session or style we're trying to achieve.

As an overall foundation, I recommend at least one piece, whether it be a bodysuit or bra/panty set - in the color black. It is the most linked with a classically sexy style. While I fully believe the interpretation of "sexy" is in the eye of the beholder and the only person I want making the interpretation is you - a black outfit is also one that is flattering to all.

A part from that there is a variety of options to have fun with your session and your photos. When we're booking your special day we will work together on identifying items you already have, suggestions for places to shop and styles that will give you the look you desire. I know what will photograph well and you know what you want to try - together we will work some magic!
